The judicialization of public policies, in which fundamental and social rights are highlighted and subject to judicial review, is a growing phenomenon in liberal democracies. This paper analyzes judicialization as a way to guarantee social rights in higher education. A study was carried out using lawsuits in which the University of Brasília appeared in a passive role. The results showed that judicialization focuses most specifically on university admissions with judges playing an active role.
