Wayne M. Pecena serves as the Director of Engineering for Educational Broadcast Services at Texas A&M University. He is responsible for technology and operations of Texas A&M public broadcasting stations KAMU TV & FM. Wayne has over 40 years of broadcast and IP network engineering experience and holds BS and MS degrees from Texas A&M University. Wayne is a Fellow of the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) and holds the Certified Professional Broadcast Engineer (CPBE) and Certified Broadcast Network Engineer (CBNE) certifications from the SBE. Wayne serves as the Secretary of the SBE Board and chairs the SBE Education Committee. He was named the 2012 SBE Educator of the Year and the 2014 Radio World Engineer of the year. Wayne is currently the Vice-Chair of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) Engineering and Technology Advisory Committee (ETAC). He is a frequent speaker and lecturer regarding IP Networking topics for the Broadcast Engineer. Past industry presentations and tutorials include ABA-Broadcast Engineering Academy, IEEE-BTS Symposium, CCBE-Canada, WABE-Canada, InfoComm International, NAB BEITC, NAB Radio Show, PBS TechCon, SBE Ennes Workshops, and numerous State broadcasting association events.
