John McCoskey is an industry-recognized technology, operations and policy executive, with background spanning broad media & entertainment, broadcast, satellite, intellectual property and Internet technologies. He is currently Industry Executive for the Technology, Media & Entertainment practice at Eagle Hill Consulting. Previous roles include EVP & CTO at the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) where he led global technology policy and strategy; the first-ever CTO at the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS); VP, Product Development at Comcast; CTO and co-founder at Brief Original Broadcasts (BOB); and SVP, Technology and CTO at Discovery Communications. Mr. McCoskey holds two MS degrees from Johns Hopkins and a BSEE from Bucknell University. He is an inventor with 24 issued & 27 pending U.S. utility patents. Mr. McCoskey and his PBS team received a Technology and Engineering Emmy® award in 2010 for pioneering work on digital television workflows. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Fellow of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) and former elected two-term Eastern Region Governor of SMPTE.

Ted Krichels

CPB

Ted Krichels, SVP of System Development and Media Strategy for CPB, has over 30 years of public broadcasting experience, including roles as Associate Vice President and General Manager of Penn State Public Broadcasting and as President and CEO of KBDI, in Denver, Colorado. During that time, he has contributed to public broadcasting policy and leadership issues through his service on the Association of Public Television Station's board of directors, numerous PBS and CPB task forces, and in connection with public broadcasting system organizations such as the University License Association and the Affinity Group Coalition. Mr. Krichels recently directed the Public Media Models of the Future project for PBS, which seeks to describe sustainable public media service models and explore how they might be leveraged and replicated by others.
