Along with increasingly large infrastructural and process changes, human factors at the railway infrastructure organization, ProRail, received significant more attention over the past years. This poster exemplifies a number of recent developments, such as the investigation of a driver advisory system for train drivers, the use of gaming simulation environments as a tool to both research and design together with operators, the investigation of a number of cognitive processes such as situation awareness and mental workload, and the usage of a number of objective measurement tools such as an eye-tracker and psychophysiological sensors. An outline for future developments of the newly established RailwayLab will also be presented.
