Load Detection Method and Control of Class-E Inverter for Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer

Wenxun Xiao

South China University of Technology

Wenxun Xiao comes from China. He received Ph.D. degree in Power Electronics and Power Drives from the South China University of Technology in 2008. He is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Electrical Power, South China University of Technology. His research interests include WPT technology, topology and control methods of power electronics, and so on. He once designed a system of taking power from HV grids based on WPT. And now is studying the dynamic wireless power supply technology for electric vehicle. So, today his is very happy to share with you some of his research results.

Abstract

Due to the electrical isolation between the transmitter side and the receiver side in dynamic wireless power transfer (WPT), load detection becomes an essential function for saving energy and safety issues. This paper... [ view full abstract ]
