The current study was to explore the learning effects of Teaching Games for Understanding(TGfU) integrated into Sport Education(SE) seasons. The purposes of the study was to compare the difference of learning effects between “TGfU-SE” and “TGfU” program on students’ game performance, responsibility, learning motivation and sport enjoyment. The quxi-experimental design was used for this study. The participants included 2 junior high school physical education teachers and 4 physical education classes with 90 students(experimental group, n=46, male, n=26; female, n=26, ages=15.02±0.73; control group, n=44, male, n=23, female, n=21, ages=14.78±0.66). Each teacher taught two classes including an experimental group and a control group. The research instruments included questionnaires and game performance assessment instrument. Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used to analysis data. The results were “TGfU-SE” program had more learning effects than “TGfU” for students’ game performance, responsibility, learning motivation and sport enjoyment. The conclusion of the study were “TGfU-SE” program had more positive learning effects than “TGfU” for students’ psychomotor and affective domains. On other hand, The program of “TGfU-SE” hybrid model approach is a good teaching and curriculum of moral character education for physical education.
