Nanofibrous Waterproof Breathable Protective Clothing
Ali Tehrani
American University of Beirut
Dr. Ali Tehran is an assistant professor in Chemical Engineering Department at American University of Beirut since 2014. He has a background in Textile Chemistry and Polymeric Fibers (BSc,MSc, and PhD) and he has earned his second PhD in Applied Surface Chemistry from Chalmers University of Technology (Goteborg-Sweden) in 2012. He is currently supervising several projects on nanofibrous electrospun membranes for various applications. He has several years of experience in synthesis and characterization of materials using many different techniques.
Abstract
Waterproof breathable membranes allow water vapor to pass through and prevent liquid water from penetration. They have a wide range of applications (e.g., skiwear, sleeping bag, water purification, wound healing, gas... [ view full abstract ]
