She is an associate professor at Jordan University of Science and Technology, Jordan. She received her doctorate  from the University of Colorado, USA.Her main areas of research  are chemical and physical water and wastewater treatment.  She is a founding member of the Women Water Nexus network, working on interdisciplinary and international  projects addressing water issues in the developing countries with the focus on the education of future women scientist/engineer.  She is committed to the education,  and advisement.  She has mentored over 30 senior undergraduate, and postgraduate thesis; received several awards; published more than 25 publications and two patents.
