Dr. Stefano Carli has devoted his PhD investigations (2003-2005) to the development of new photochromic diarylethens functionalized Ruthenium dyads. From 2009 to 2016 Dr. Carli’s research activity was oriented on Dye Sensitized Solar Cells, Perovskite Solar Cells, as well as on the development of new catalysts for light-induced water splitting. Currently, Dr. Carli is a postdoctoral researcher at the Italian Institute of Technology and his research is focused on the development of new smart materials for neural sensing and stimulation - intracortical and epicortical - in humans and animal models.
Abstract
Neural interfaces represent an important tool for enabling better fundamental understanding of the central and peripheral nervous systems, as well as for restoring damaged or lost sensorimotor functions. Conductive polymers,... [ view full abstract ]
