Electroactive Self-Assembled-Monolayer for Smart Functional Surfaces

Maria Serena Maglione

ICMAB-CSIC

M.Serena Maglione earned her BSc and MSc degree in Chemistry from La Sapienza University of Rome. Then, she joined the group of Prof. Stefan kubik (University of Kaiserslautern) in the framework of a Short Term Mission dealing with supramolecular chemistry in water. Finally, she moved to the institute of material science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) where she has joined NANOMOL Group as PhD student since 2014, under the supervision of Prof.Concepcio Rovira and Dr. Marta Mas-Torrent. She is currently enrolled in the project “iSwitch” that is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action on the design and the development of integrated self-assembled switchable systems and materials.

Abstract

Self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) bearing a redox active terminal group on conducting surfaces can be interconverted between different states by the application of an external electrochemical stimulus. The high interest toward... [ view full abstract ]
