Jean Pierre is Senior Lecturer at Teesside University. He has a BA in Philosophy, Theology, MSc and Doctorate in Educational Leadership. His doctoral research comparatively explores the leadership experiences of urban primary head teachers in the Democratic Republic of Congo and England. This has prompted him to propose ‘comparativism’ as a viable post-modern construct in educational leadership. He uses those ideas to frame his area of expertise (educational leadership) and others may use them to understand, critique and frame practice in their own fields.
