Kyla Schuller is Assistant Professor of Women’s and Gender Studies at Rutgers University, New Brunswick and author of The Biopolitics of Feeling: Race, Sex, and Impressibility in the Nineteenth Century (Duke University Press, 2017. Her work on race, gender, sexuality, and the sciences has appeared in American Quarterly, Discourse, Journal of Modern Literature, Los Angeles Review of Books and other venues and has been supported by ACLS, Stanford Humanities Center, and the UC Humanities Research Institute.
