Christopher Hanlon is Associate Professor of U.S. Literature and Provost’s Humanities Fellow at Arizona State University. In addition to essays published in American Literary History, American Literature, New Literary History, Nineteenth-Century Literature, Pedagogy, College Literature, and numerous collections, he is the author of America’s England (2013), and Emerson’s Memory Loss: Originality, Communality, and the Late Style, forthcoming toward the end of 2017.
