Timothy Marr

Timothy Marr is the Bowman and Gordon Gray Associate Professor and Associate Chair of the Department of American Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he has taught since 2000. He serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of J19 and is an executive member of the Melville Society Cultural Project with whom he will be directing an 2018 NEH Summer Seminar for Teachers on “Melville’s Moby-Dick and the World of Whaling in the Digital Age.”
