Sustainable green solutions for the ever changing University landscape

In 2007, Bevin Moolenschot decided to leave the United Kingdom and move to Canada. In the UK Bevin worked in the customer service industry for 6 years and wanted to make a career change. He completed a post-secondary education to pursue a lifelong passion for everything IT. Bevin is currently an IT Program Developer with the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) where he has been employed since 2010. Bevin provides primary administration for the university's collaborative suites including UOIT’s hosted Microsoft SharePoint internally branded as WISC (Workspace for Information Sharing and Collaboration) for all faculty and staff; and Google for Education cloud service branded as UOITnet for students primary communication and collaborative suite on campus. Bevin also provides technical and project leadership to the faculties and departments to support new emerging requirements for applications and solutions.

Abstract

This presentation will share and demonstrate the findings of implementing sustainable, innovative and cost effective collaboration solutions that meet the diverse needs of a fast paced and ever changing university landscape.... [ view full abstract ]
