Bo Wandschneider is the CIO and Associate Vice Principal of Information Technology at Queen's University. Bo has spent close to 30 years working in Higher Education Information Technology, beginning with providing Statistical Computing support in an Academic unit, to working with OCUL on various data management projects, to his current role as CIO at Queen's University. Bo currently sits on the CUCCIO Board, is active in various collaborative projects, is a frequent presenter at various professional forums and occasionally writes a blog at http://www.queensu.ca/connect/cio/home.

Jennifer Burns

University of British Columbia

Jennifer leads the information technology function at the University of British Columbia and ensures the alignment between university strategy, IT delivery systems and the needs of faculties, research, and administrative units across campus. She is responsible for the UBC Information Technology department’s efforts to maintain an advanced IT platform for education, research, and services. An experienced leader within higher education and with an extensive background in client services and management, Jennifer maintains the strategic oversight of campus-wide IT services in a highly client-centric environment serving 70,000 users, ensuring a focus on client experience and institutional value. Jennifer is a Commerce major, with a focus on Marketing and Entrepreneurship. She has managed IT operations for over 15 years, and in leadership positions for over 20, working in government, consulting, and higher education. Her skills include marketing, call centre operations, IT operations, relationship management, strategic planning.

Dwight Fischer

Dalhousie University

Dwight Fischer is the Assistant Vice President, CIO at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Prior to coming to Canada, he held CIO and IT leader positions at Plymouth State University, the University of New Hampshire and Keene State College, all institutions in the University System of New Hampshire. Fischer has presented and written on IT leadership, careers, change and project management. His insights and perspectives are available at blogs.dal.ca/TransformIT/.

Paul Stokes

Gartner, Inc.

Paul Stokes is an Executive Partner based in Victoria, British Columbia. He works closely with Gartner Executive Programs clients, providing executive-level advice, guidance, counsel, direction and assistance to support the CIO role and helping members to use Gartner resources to succeed in their organizations.Before joining Gartner, Mr. Stokes was Chief Information Officer at the University of Victoria (22,00 students and 5,500 employees), responsible for the information technology services for the University, including academic, administrative and research computing.
