LeeAnne Klein is the Change Management Practice Lead within Information Services & Technology at the University of Alberta. LeeAnne is a seasoned professional with over 10 years hands on experience managing organizational change in several industries including oil and gas, technology, and manufacturing. LeeAnne specializes in Organizational Change Management (OCM) and Business Process Management (BPM). She has extension certificates in Business Process Management, Business Analysis and Project Management from Mount Royal University and Prosci Change Management certification.
Lilli Chevrier

Lilli joined the University of Alberta in Nov 2013 as a Senior Program Manager with IST’s Project Management Office. She is a results-driven professional with extensive experience providing leadership, strategy, solution design and delivery, change management, and program/project manager services to international organizations from a variety of industries including education, aviation, government, finance, and IT solutioning. Lilli has proven abilities building high performance teams by creating an environment of commitment and trust through mentoring, coaching and inspiring.She earned an MBA from Queens, has both the Program Management Professional (PgMP) and Project Management Professional (PMP) through PMI, and completed Prosci’s Organizational Change Management certification program.
Mark Roman
Simon Fraser University
Mark Roman serves as the Chief Information Officer at Simon Fraser University and he is also the President of the Canadian University Council of Chief Information Officers (CUCCIO). Most recently, Mark served as the Associate Vice-President of Information and Communications Technology and Chief Information Officer for the University of Saskatchewan (USask). He was also previous Chair of the Board of Saskatchewan Research Network Inc. (SRNET), and previous Chair of the Board of BCNET. Prior to his position at uSask, Mark was the owner of 22over7, a higher education IT management consulting organization, and was previously CIO at the University of Victoria, and Executive Director of Enterprise Systems at Carleton University. He holds a B.Math (Computer Science) from the University of Waterloo, an MBA (Finance) from Queen’s University, and is a Project Management Professional (PMP). Mark is married with three children, five computers, and seven guitars. He is an occasional author writing about management and IT and has had a lifelong interest in military history. His other hobby is cycling and he looks forward to riding up Burnaby Mountain as soon as he can summon up the courage.
Tariq Al-Idrissi
Trent University
Tariq Al-idrissi is the Associate Vice President in charge of Information Technology at Trent University in Peterborough, ON. He holds an Honours Bachelors of Commerce Degree and a Master of Science in Management Degree from Lakehead University. He has completed graduate work in the areas of ERP Systems Design in Education. For the past fifteen years, Tariq’s experience has been primarily based in Educational Technologies and IT Management, but he has also worked for TBayTel as the Manager of Applications and the Manager of Video Applications and had been a Sessional Lecturer for the Faculty of Business at Lakehead University for eleven years. He has been described by his previous employers as an agent change.
Shari Baraniuk

Shari Baraniuk is the CIO, Associate Vice-President of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) at the University of Saskatchewan. Shari has been at the University of Saskatchewan for over 10 years serving as the Director, Client Services in ICT (2014-2015); Director, Systems Support & Development in Financial Services (2008-2014) and Associate Director of IT in Facilities Management (2006-2008). Prior to joining the university, Shari worked for the City of Saskatoon, LGS Consulting, CP Rail Systems, SHL Systemhouse and Andersen Consulting. Shari has a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Operations Research from the University of Manitoba and a MBA in Information Technology Management from Athabasca University.
Julie Topic
Wilfred Laurier University
Julie Topic spent most of her career working in the IT department for a global chemical company for 24 years in a multi-cultural, multi-location environment. She began her career as a programmer and worked her way up to a director-level position as the Director End User Support. Julie joined Laurier’s ICT department in 2011 as the Director of ICT Support. Her areas of responsibility include day-to-day support of employee IT productivity tools, delivery of IT Service Management, the Service Desk, employee and student technical support teams, the teaching/computer labs, classroom technology design and support, and the university’s smart phone program. Very recently Julie took on additional responsibilities as the Acting Director Infrastructure.
