Large inelastic cyclic testing of the gusset-plate brace member assemblies in ultra-low cycle fatigue regime

Muhammad Shariq Hassan, a Ph.D. student in Civil Engineering at the National University of Ireland-Galway, working with Dr. Jamie Goggins and Dr. Suhaib Salawdeh on improving the European design of concentrically braced steel frames from the seismic aspect, has completed his M.Sc. degree from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, in subject identical to the current field of work. He was engaged with the Chartered Engineering firm and has worked on the designing of the highest multi-story building project ever constructed back to Pakistan. He is also a part of STEP Engineer’s Ireland programme.
