The Education team in Compu b is made up of educators with a passion for Apple technology. The team assist Education facilities to integrate technology, not just for the sake of it, but to support and enhance teaching and learning. In this short presentation, Thomas Creighton (Head of Learning for Compu b, and Apple Professional Development Consultant) will be discussing the role Compu b has played to help guide education facilities, like The Law Society, through the process of provisioning technology, to a point where it begins to enable the faculty to transform the way they can deliver their learning experiences.
Covering everything from a simplified IT deployment, (that allows the end user to simply open the box and get on with the tasks that they are required to do in their learning); allowing a hands-free approach from IT departments; providing a device that is familiar and personalised to the end user while offering all the security and privacy that is to be expected; right through to delivering professional development of staff to build content in rich interactive platforms and media - the presentation will attempt to cover the array of supports that Compu b provides.
While proud of its retail heritage, Compu b realised early that simply providing the devices (shifting boxes) wasn’t enough for our education customers. So a dedicated team of educators were brought together to provide the additional support services that our education customers expected and required to become the success (shifting minds) that they are today.
