University College Cork has been using Turnitin for 12 years. During that time they have developed a plagiarism policy to help promote academic excellence across all levels of education and they have expanded their usage of Turnitin to support this
During this session, Jack Crowe from Turnitin will give an overview of how Turnitin can be used as an educational tool and outline how recent changes to the product have helped to support UCC's non-confrontational approach to addressing plagiarism. Grace O'Leary from UCC will talk about how their use of Turnitin has changed over time and share some examples of best practice from their power users.
This session is a great opportunity for existing users to find out about a more holistic approach to addressing plagiarism, as well as for new users to discover some useful tips on successfully promoting academic excellence at their own institution.
