This presentation will examine the myriad possibilities collaboration brings to learning and discovery. Through the mutual cooperation of SUNY Empire State College, the Center for Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) of the State University of New York and our overseas academic partners, we developed and taught linked online courses with students from the USA and abroad. The American students shared the material to be learned alongside the students of our international academic partners. Our courses brought both American students and International students a mutual asynchronous learning experience in very different areas of knowledge. These efforts creatively enhanced students' cultural awareness while learning the subject matter through their online work. In this session we will present an overview of our international collaborations (funded by COIL) including course structure, types of linked courses and topics, and feedback from the students regarding their learning experiences.
