DCU Teaching Enhancement Unit are working on an Erasmus+ funded collaboration with colleagues in partner institutions in Ilia State University (Georgia), University of Roehampton (UK), Uppsala Universitet (Sweden) and Universitaet Wien (Austria). The project, INTEGRITY (Academic Integrity for Quality Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Institutions in Georgia), is aimed at enhancing teaching, learning and assessment processes that are informed by the principles of academic integrity. For the purpose of this project, academic integrity is defined as ‘a commitment, even in the face of adversity, to six fundamental values: honesty, trust, fairness, respect, responsibility and courage’ in assessment (International Center for Academic Integrity, 2018).
Part of the TEU contribution to the project is development of an assessment toolkit with a suite of resources and case studies to support faculty designing assessment strategies which actively encourage academic integrity. This presentation will share some preliminary outputs by providing an overview of the toolkit, with a particular focus on the use of Moodle activities and resources to promote academic integrity. We welcome input and feedback from the ILTA community to further advance this resource.
