The environment in which businesses operate today is uncertain, chaotic, and changing at a more rapid pace than ever before. Additionally, organizations are being challenged to operate in a manner that is simultaneously profitable, ethical, and socially and environmentally responsible. In this new dynamic world, current approaches to organizational design and processes are not as effective as they have been, and both organizations and the field of Organizational Development and change management must become more agile to effectively respond. This paper serves as an exploration of current research in organizational agility and corporate sustainability. Based on the discussion, implications and opportunities for Organizational Development and change management practitioners are proposed, as well as areas for future research.
