Despite a considerable body of research on entrepreneurship in the multinational corporation (MNC), the literature remains disjointed and lacks a holistic theoretical model that explains the pillars of a MNC’s entrepreneurial orientation. Building on eight in-depth case studies of highly entrepreneurial MNCs, this study inductively builds a framework which describes the main cornerstones - talent, culture and space - and their reinforcing dynamics to facilitate synergistic inter-relationships that underpin their entrepreneurial orientation. The main contribution of this study is a parsimonious, yet comprehensive, framework of an entrepreneurial MNC.
