I present a theoretical model and some motivating empirical evidence to look at the impact of migration on weekly and hourly earnings, looking at the adjustment of hours per worker. I suggest the adjustment in hours is often not accounted for sufficiently in the literature and is worth looking at explicitly.  The model derives conditions where hours worked per worker may rise or fall in response to an increase in migration
