The sedimentary environment in Silurian System in Tarim Basin is estuary- onshore tidal hydrodynamic action. Several sets of oil and gas reservoir-seal assemblages are formed by the sea level change. The development of favorable sands body and high-quality reservoir are the key factors of the exploration and development of oil and gas. To study of cause of the sands body and the reservoir property by means of outcrop、core、well logging、high resolution seismic、casting body、SEM and CT. There are four kinds of sands body of channel、subtidal zone、sand flat and sand bar. The reservoir property is influenced by high-frequency sea level fluctuation. The main factor which effects the reservoir property is the high calcareous cement forming during marine transgression. The comprehensive study shows sand body of channel、subtidal zone and sand bar forming during the regressive period are high-quality oil and gas reservoir body, and these three types of sand body are the main area of oil and gas exploration and development.
