The fine exploration of the northwest area of the Junggar basin is a further understanding and summary of the objective geological laws of the process, but also the urgent need at the present stage of exploration and development of oil and gas. The main idea of this research is to establish the isochronous stratigraphy framework by using the principle of high resolution sequence stratigraphy, and study the fine sedimentary facies to analysis the characteristics of the distribution of the sand body, then combine with logging constrained seismic inversion and rule of hydrocarbon accumulation to predict the promising lithological trap. According to the analysis of the depositional system of Jurassic sequence stratigraphic framework, it has developed the dryland alluvial fan, wetland alluvial fan, braided river, meandering river and delta sedimentary systems. And it¡¯s main source comes from the west and northwest area. From the point of view of sequence stratigraphy and sedimentary, by determining the connectivity of the reservoir sand body at the frame of the sequence stratigraphy, then we can forecast the region of the development and distribution of the lithologic trap.
