Actually, there are six thousands pharmacies in Taiwan. We call community pharmacy. Chronic illnesses can acquire the medicine with doctor description near their community in community pharmacy. If we can reform current pharmacies to become healthcare units, it is to extend the current advantage of pharmacy in healthcare field. The government doesn’t need to rebuild the healthcare unit. Before we reform the institution between pharmacy and patient, the most critical key point is if patients have possibility to adopt the new system.
The research combines interview and questionnaire and attempts to find out the mobile using behavior among the community pharmacies and patients. First, The survey does interview on community pharmacies. Second, The study builds questionnaire and do web-questionnaires for patients who come to pharmacy. Finally, there are 124 completed questionnaires from online web-questionnaires.
