Marian Chertow is a professor of industrial environmental management at theYale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. She also has facultyappointments at the Yale School of Management and the National University ofSingapore. Her research and teaching focus on industrial ecology,business/environment issues, waste management, circular economy, and urbanindustrial systems.Prior to Yale, Professor Chertow spent ten years in environmental business andstate and local government including service as president of a large statebonding authority charged with developing a billion dollar waste infrastructuresystem. Professor Chertow serves on the Board of Directors of the Alliance forResearch in Corporate Sustainability (ARCS) and on the External Advisory Boardof the Center for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability at Ingersoll Rand.
