Eight realtively high functioning psychotic  patients participated in the long term outpatient pschodynamic group psychotherapy  after their fist or second psychotic episode.  All the patients were in their thirties and forties, all but one had the university degree and all were employed. The group is co-led by two group analysts, once a week, for one hour and half.

In this paper we describe how in the advanced group process  war experiences emerge , at first in dreams the patients bring to the group process, and how traumatic memories of some members reflect on the group dynamics in the here and now situation.
