This paper addresses how older Latina women in the U.S. Southwest find support and community through involvement in the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. It acknowledges Latina Mormon Relief Societies as critically important survival mechanisms for women facing la tercera edad, or their senior years and explores what Latinas gain from participating in an otherwise gender segregated patriarchal faith system and contributes to our understanding of feminism within faith.
