This paper foregrounds how Latina feminist ethnography illuminates juridical modes of citizenship as well as notions of cultural citizenship. I explore the everyday assertions of belonging and resistance among Puerto Rican middle class women in Orlando Florida, who are subject to racialization and other forms of discrimination, especially in "new" destinations such as the U.S. Southeast and argue that Latina feminist ethnography helps us understand the multiple subject positions of Puerto Rican middle class women along the lines of gender, race, and class.
