Nonlinear THz Plasmonics in Bi2Se3 Topological Insulator
Paola Di Pietro
Elettra-Sincrotrone Trieste S.C.p.A.
Paola Di Pietro obtained her Master Degree in Physics and her PhD in Materials Science at the University Sapienza of Rome on terahertz (THz) and infrared spectroscopy applied on High Tc Superconductors and Topological Insulators. Currently, she is staff scientist at TeraFERMI, the THz beamline at the Free Electron Laser Fermi at Elettra Sincrotrone in Trieste. Her research addresses the nonlinear properties of Topological Insulators and Dirac materials in general. She is also involved in all the experiments carried out by the users of the TeraFERMI beamline.
Abstract
Topological insulators are a class of materials which have raised a great interest over the last decade, thanks to their intriguing conduction properties. Indeed, they are insulating in the bulk and metallic at the surface.... [ view full abstract ]
