Andrea received the Laurea in Physics at the University of Firenze and European LENS laboratories with a nonlinear-optic and electron-spectroscopy thesis. He completed his PhD. in 2004, applying the Brillouin spectroscopy to the investigation of the generalized dynamic of the so-called soft-matter contributing to the development of the highest performance spectrometer for visible and UV radiation. His interests are Brillouin and SERS spectroscopies, metrology, nanostructures, Plasmonics, surface science, hot-electron-spectroscopy at nanoscale. Since 2014, Andrea has a Research Scientist position at KAUST where he has developed multi spectroscopy SPM instruments to probe simultaneously chemical, structural and charge transport at the nanoscale.
Abstract
We present a simple and powerful standing nanowires array device developed for applications in surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS). Plasmonic active gold wires grown on iron disks, and partially immersed in a supporting... [ view full abstract ]
