Mario Ferraro is a PhD student in physics at “Université Côte d’Azur “ of Nice (France). His actual work is mainly focused on designing and realizing semiconductor based photonic nanostructures. They include hyperbolic metamaterials and polaritonic condensates.Previously, during his master at University of Rome “La Sapienza” where he graduated with honors, he worked on nanodisordered ferroelectrics and nonlinear optics.Between master and PhD he did some working experience as employee in “Credem” bank. His tasks were related to financial products pricing and internal models validation.
Abstract
IntroductionIn this paper we report theoretical and experimental results on negative refraction in highly doped layered semiconductor materials. We reveal that intersubband (ISBT) transitions induce a hyperbolic metamaterial... [ view full abstract ]
