These days, “micro entrepreneurs” who start businesses with small funds emerge from co-creation platforms. While it has been surmised that some lead users started their businesses with innovation in prior researches, these co-creation participants do the same based not on specific innovation, but co-creation activity itself. This paper focuses on this new phenomenon and examines how experiences in the co-creation community influence entrepreneurship. In a study of the recipe site Cookpad, we found an additional path for user entrepreneurs.
