Danielle’s work focuses on understanding complex human-nature relationships to improve conservation planning and delivery. She received her B.S. in Environmental Studies from Plymouth State University, and M.S. in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources from Colorado State University. Danielle joined the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's newly established Branch of Human Dimensions in 2013. With the branch she has worked on efforts to connect people to wildlife and nature; increase diversity, equity, and inclusion in the conservation community; encourage behaviors that support healthy wildlife, land, air, and water; and increase understanding of the social aspects of conservation among practitioners and the capacity to address them.
