Dr. Tarla Peterson holds the Boone and Crockett Chair of Wildlife Conservation Policy, and is a professor at Texas A&M University. She studies the intersections between communication, environmental policy, and democracy. She brings an Earth Systems orientation to attempts to understand how these three dimensions enable/constrain policy options and public life. She has developed an active Theory to Practice Program that includes design and evaluation of best practices for facilitating public participation in issues related to energy and environmental policy.
