When Martin's Spirosilane Meets a N-Heterocyclic Carbene (NHC)
Fabrizio Medici
Universite Pierre et Marie Curie
He was born in Como (Italy), he did his studies at the University of Insubria focusing on Inorganic chemistry. His bachelor and master stages were centred on the sinthesys characterisation and application of Metal Organic Fraeworks based on Pyrazole-type ligands under the supervision of Dr. Angelo Maspero. Actually he is 3rd year PhD student at Universite Pierre-Marie Curie (UPMC) in the equipe of Pr. Louis Fensterbank. He works in the field of silicon chemistry, in particular on the properties and applications of Martin's spirosilane.
Abstract
Martin’s spirosilane first synthetized in 1979[1], has attracted some interest[2] due to its high Lewis acidity, steric hindrance and the intrinsic ability of the silicon atom to become hypervalent[3]. In our study we were... [ view full abstract ]
