Jan J. Weigand obtained his Phd in chemistry in 2005 from the LMU in Munich. He obtained a Lynen Scholarship from the AvH foundation for postdoc in Canada and returned 2007 to Germany for his habilitation at the WWU Münster. He was awarde with the Liebig-scholarship (FCI) and became fellow of the very prestigious Emmy Noether research program awarded by the DFG. He obtained the Wöhler research award for young scientist and 2012 he obtained an “ERC starting grant”. He is full professor at TU Dresden since 2013 and is interested in main group chemistry, sustainable and industrial chemistry.

Abstract

The first isolated example of an octaphosphane of type R2P8 is obtained by treatment of cage compound (DDP)GaP4 (DDP = (2,6-diisopropylphenyl)(4-((2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imino)pent-2-en-2-yl)amide)[1] with (C6F5)2PBr. The... [ view full abstract ]
