     This project focus on interviewing those who lived in the South during the Vietnam war as left Southerners as were the new targets for political mobilization by the North and South regimes during the Vietnam War. From background research and literature review, I have selected three main variables to investigate: historical-political ideologies, socio-economics, and cultures. This research provides interview-based insights on how these factors have influenced the civilians’ political support during the war, aside from the fact that many people were forced by the government to enlist in the army. By incorporating personal perspectives and theoretical work, I endeavor to help construct a better understanding on the Vietnam War from the Vietnamese perspectives.
