Ignacia Arruabarrena, Ph.D. in psychology. Associate Professor at the Social Psychology Department of the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU (San Sebastian, Spain). She worked for ten years as co-director of a treatment program for maltreating families in Child Protection Services. She has a long experience as Child Protection Services consultant in Spain. Her current interests are focused on CPS caseworkers´ decision-making processes and on the implementation of evidence-based programs in Spain. She has published books and articles about child abuse in Spanish, and has also published in international journals. She is member of the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN) since 1988.
