Objective: Our mixed, transverse and exploratory research has for objective to evaluate the future of old patients having been admitted in TFC.
Method: The evaluation concerns 58 old patients welcomed between 1971 and 1996, at least 8 years, in a continuous way, in four participating AFT. They were at the inclusion 21 year-old at least and have left their TFC at least 3 years before. The methodology is constituted by an innovative alloy of quantitative and qualitative tools; the Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview, the Functional Status Questionnaire Subjective and the CaMir (tool from the concept of attachment). The interview is analyzed according to two methods, the narrativité (Edicode) and the Grounded Theory.
Results: the preliminary elements show representations of attachment comparable to those of the general population. Furthermore, the first discourse analyses mark the importance of a "step interview", a few years after leaving the TFC.
(NB : the definitive results will be known during the conference in October, 2017)
Discussion: Our results on the categories of attachment of these former patients of TFC present a significant difference with the description made in the literature, of adults' attachment placed in childhood in other devices of care in the world.
A longitudinal study would allow to analyze the specificity of a long and continuous care, which establishes up to today the only significant factor of good evolution of a placed child.
Concerning the emergence about a "step interview", appeared then the qualitative analysis according to the Grounded Theory, she joins to other studies insisting on the importance to proposed this kind of meeting to the young adults which was placed and accompanied during long years.
