Nigel served as a Police officer for 31 years with Devon and Cornwall Police in the UK. Since finishing service he has run his own consulting company to continue the work concerning Multi Agency Safeguarding Hubs, which he designed and developed, and the identification of risk to all vulnerable peopleNigel spent most of his career as a Detective serving for 11 years as a Detective Superintendent leading and managing the investigation of Homicide and Serious Crime enquiries. He worked extensively in the UK and abroad and specialised in the assessment of risk through the analysis of intelligence and information.Nigel is a partner in nib SharedVision an organisation which aims to promote the rights of the voice of the child as well as working to transform safeguarding practice across multi agency partnerships. The organisations aim is to stimulate and elevate safeguarding practice for all vulnerable people through social media communication and in direct working in practice settings.

Marisa De Jager

Nib SharedVision

Marisa is a qualified social worker with statutory case management experience as a social work practitioner and manager. She has worked as a social worker in her native home of South Africa and also in the UK. She has knowledge and experience as a specialist consultant and project manager with the development and implementation of MASH style models and their connectivity with Early Offer of Help (EOH) and locality models in the UK.Marisa is also an approved ISO 9001:2008 QMS Auditor/Lead Auditor (Certification number 3433) for assessing quality management systems.Marisa is a partner in nib SharedVision an organisation which aims to promote the rights of the voice of the child as well as working to transform safeguarding practice across multi agency partnerships. The organisations aim is to stimulate and elevate safeguarding practice for all vulnerable people through social media communication and in direct working in practice settings.The Voice of the Child campaign #VOC was the brainchild of Marisa De Jager.

Paul Morrall

Chickenshed Theatre Trust

Paul Morrall: Director of Education, Outreach and Training at ChickenshedPaul’s career began in primary education. He became involved with Chickenshed in a voluntary capacity nearly thirty five years ago, as a lyricist and a workshop leader for the burgeoning Children’s and Youth Theatre programme. In 1995 Paul left a Deputy Headship role within teaching to join Chickenshed as a senior director and to develop and run the first inclusive BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts.  Chickenshed run three nationally accredited education courses in the UK at BTEC, Foundation Degree and BA level - and are rated 'Outstanding' by OFSTED. Paul has worked on Chickenshed’s extensive Outreach programme helping set up twenty Inclusive Children’s and Youth Theatres mainly in London, but also the wider UK and Russia.Paul is also actively involved in writing and directing shows together with creating lyrics for many of the songs used in Chickenshed productions and Outreach programmes.
