Nationaal Rapporteur Mensenhandel en Seksueel Geweld tegen Kinderen
Sjoerd van Bemmel is a researcher at the Bureau of the Dutch National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Human Beings and Sexual Violence against Children. The Rapporteur’s main task is to report on the nature and extent of human trafficking and sexual violence against children in the Netherlands, and on the effects of the government policies pursued. He primarily conducts research on the topic of victim protection and focuses on both EU-citizens and third-country nationals. Sjoerd is also involved in several advisory committees. He obtained a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam.
