What happens after children tell? A qualitative analysis of narratives of women who as children disclosed intra-familial sexual abuse

Sheri is a social work educator, with a primary focus on field education, at Memorial University in St John's, Newfoundland Labrador, Canada. Her research interests include child sexual abuse, disclosure, violence and abuse prevention, field education, social work education, and all things LGBTQ+. Sheri has presented at a variety of local, national, and international conferences and has authored book chapters, program manuals, and evaluation reports as well as peer reviewed, scholarly, and other articles. Born and raised on Treaty 4 and Treaty 6 lands on the Canadian prairies, Sheri has worked with a feminist social justice lens in community, government, and academic settings. She has worked and volunteered as a social worker, primarily with women, Indigenous people, and LGBTQ+ folk around their experiences with child sexual abuse, the criminal justice system, substance use, and other forms of personal and systemic oppression.
