School social work has long developed in the world, but not yet in Viet Nam. The increasing cases of violence against children taking place in and surrounding schools have seriously impacted students' well-beings and development. Though schools and teachers have tried to cope with this issue, it usually goes beyond their capacity. The demand to establish social work services to contribute addressing violence against children is has been recognized but how the process should be implemented remains a big question. This article explains how school social work may help to decrease violence against children and the roadmap that schools in Viet Nam should go along.
