Mary Pulido

The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children

Mary L. Pulido, Ph.D.,Dr. Pulido is the Executive Director of The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, the first child protection agency in the world. She also serves as President of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children – New York. She has published in the areas of detection and prevention of child abuse and neglect, providing supervised visitation services, crisis debriefing, child sexual abuse prevention and preventing secondary traumatic stress. She is an adjunct Assistant Professor at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in New York City.

Jacqueline Holloway

The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children

Jacqueline Holloway, PhDDr. Holloway is a research scientist with a background in the psychophysiological bases of learning and behavior, and an emphasis on understanding the effect of stress and trauma on the development of psychopathology and characteristics of resilience. Dr. Holloway is currently the Director of Research and Evaluation at the NYSPCC, where she facilitates the assessment of federally and privately funded research initiatives across The NYSPCCs supervised visitation, trauma recovery, and child sexual abuse prevention programs.  Jacqueline previously worked at the Stress and Motivated Behavior Institute based at the East Orange NJ VA Hospital, studying learning and behavior. 

Fotini-Sonia Apergi

ELIZA-Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, DEREE-The American College of Greece

Dr. Tinia Apergi is a senior clinical psychologist, who has worked as a clinical practitioner, professor and graduate training coordinator in Greece since, 2004. She is the coordinator of the MS in Counseling Psychology & Psychotherapy at DEREE-The American college of Greece since 2009. Dr. Apergi joined the scientific board of ELIZA, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children in 2015 bringing in her experience and expertise in family violence and child abuse and neglect assessment, treatment and prevention. 

Chrysanthi Nega

Chrysanthi Nega, Ph.D.Dr. Nega is a professor at the American College of Greece, graduate and undergraduate psychology programs, since 2002. Her strong research background in various methodologies has led her to a number of research opportunities and collaborations inside and outside of Greece. She has recently started to work on pedagogical research and has joint ELIZA as a senior research coordinator overseeing the research design and data analysis.
