Hameeda LakhoHameeda Lakho was born in Pakistan. At the age of 4 immigrated to The Netherlands, together with her mother and sisters, under the terms of family reunion. Her father said that their mother and youngest sister had died in a car crash but he actually had them deported to Pakistan. Years of terror, humiliations, isolation and abuse forced Hameeda to flee her home at a young age. She succeeded in building a life of her own and also wrote three bestsellers: Hidden Bars, Broken Circle and Hitting Home. Rights were sold to prominent publishers. She is a welcome guest for media appearances. She was the founder and director for the Hidden Violence Foundation that aims to signal the consequences of child abuse and make them a subject of discussion. She also works as a life coach, guest lecturer and motivation speaker for her own company.  Hameeda received a royal honorary medal as a Knight in the Order of Orange Nassau for her outstanding achievements, her personal dedication, vision and qualities.
