Nationaal Rapporteur Mensenhandel en Seksueel Geweld tegen Kinderen

Marijke Bleeker is a researcher at the Bureau of the Dutch National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Human Beings and Sexual Violence against Children. The Rapporteur’s main task is to report on the nature and extent of human trafficking and sexual violence against children in the Netherlands, and on the effects of the government policies pursued. At the bureau of the National Rapporteur, Marijke conducts research on prevention of sexual violence against children and is responsible for quantitative data collection and – analysis. She has gained her Master’s degree in Human Sexuality Studies at the University of Leuven.

Sjoerd Van Bemmel

Nationaal Rapporteur Mensenhandel en Seksueel Geweld tegen Kinderen

Sjoerd van Bemmel is a researcher at the Bureau of the Dutch National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Human Beings and Sexual Violence against Children. The Rapporteur’s main task is to report on the nature and extent of human trafficking and sexual violence against children in the Netherlands, and on the effects of the government policies pursued. He primarily conducts research on the topic of victim protection and focuses on both EU-citizens and third-country nationals. Sjoerd is also involved in several advisory committees. He obtained a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam.

Laura Menenti

Nationaal Rapporteur Mensenhandel en Seksueel Geweld tegen Kinderen

Laura Menenti is the coordinator for sexual violence against children for the Dutch National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Human Beings and Sexual Violence against Children. The Rapporteur’s main task is to report on the nature and extent of human trafficking and sexual violence against children in the Netherlands, and on the effects of the government policies pursued. Besides coordinating the Rapporteur’s work on all policies combating sexual violence against children, Laura specifically conducts policy research on profiling perpetrators and related prevention, on treatment and supervision of convicted sex offenders, and last but not least on quantitative analysis of policy data on sexual violence against children. She has a background in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience, and a PhD in the latter.
